    Realtor's commissions just dropped...

The home buying process has continued in its current antiquated form, while virtually every other type of commerce has become substantially more user friendly. Why? The real estate industry exists to serve itself first and foremost.

He could have likely sued her into an oblivion, but she doesn’t have the means to pay him anything.

    Trevor Bauer

Because he is a difficult personality, it seemed that some in sports media had it out for him from the start. I'm sure he'll have a field day with them.

    John Deere announces layoffs

I feel bad for those who got laid off. But the political bickering in this thread misses the point. When you work for a publicly-traded company (such as Deere), you don't work for the company or its customers, first and foremost. You work for the shareholders. The primary charter of...

6U Flag Football Coach and "Play to Win" mentality...

A couple of comments to add: One poster suggested that if I don't like it, I sign up to coach. I have 3 kids, and have decided that I will coach one sport per year, per kid. You don't want to be "that dad" who coaches everything. I've not been going around complaining, nor will I say...

Is there a more disgusting habit than smoking?

Chewing is gross, but it doesn't smell. Having to be in close contact with somebody who has just smoked a cigarette is very tough on the nose.

6U Flag Football Coach and "Play to Win" mentality...

I agree with you at a certain age, but at 6 years old, when many of the kids have never played football before, do you think that these leagues should be classified as "competitive"?

6U Flag Football Coach and "Play to Win" mentality...

Agreed. I coach baseball and until they are in 3rd or 4th grade, I do the following: Every kid plays every single position Batting order completely different every game Were I coaching 6U football, I would play every kid equally and ensure that every kid got to touch the ball once per game.

    Bryce Young

Stroud was incredible in the CFP game against Georgia. It seems that he was almost penalized for playing with incredible WR's while at Ohio State. I think he'll be a terrific NFL QB.

6U Flag Football Coach and "Play to Win" mentality...

I signed my 1st grader up for flag football this year. He's expressed interest in the game, is very social, and loves to run around (he's done t-ball/coach pitch baseball and soccer as well). We signed him up with 3 buddies from his school, and we got randomly assigned to a coach and some...

Consumer loans, Auto loans, and Credit Card delinquencies on the rise

I am no economist, nor am I going to bring any partisan political takes into the discussion. However, here is what I see: Soaring rates of consumer debt Decreasing rates of savings (have seen this a couple of places, but need to verify) Massive national debt (the fault of nearly everybody in...

Yankees fans - is it time for Brian Cashman to go?

The three best organizations in baseball over the last 5-6 years have been the Astros, Dodgers, and Braves. But it is not just because they throw a bunch of money at free agents. These three orgs (along with the Rays), are the best scouting and player development orgs in the game (taking the...

No sir. They have not made the WS since 2009.

Yankees fans - is it time for Brian Cashman to go?

Brian Cashman is a tremendous GM. Some can say that it's easy running the Yankees, but 4 World Series Championships, and never having a losing season in 25 years at the helm is incredible. The Yankees had very good teams from 2017 - 2022, only to run into superior Houston Astros and Red Sox...

    *****Official Cubs 2023 thread*****

It's crazy how things sometimes work out in sports, and in life. In 2017, the Cubs had to trade Jeimer Candalerio because there was no room for him in the Cubs young, star-studded infield. Fast-forward 6 years, later, and we have the following: Anthony Rizzo (oldest of the bunch) is about to...

Trump’s alleged conduct in the new indictment is jaw-droppingly stupid

I think what is most sad about this is that there is now a 56 year-old man, a career maintenance worker who lives in an apartment, who is now a co-defendant with the former POTUS. My hope is that the government is scaring him into cooperating. What's challenging, is that he probably cannot...

STL Cardinals fans - why is Adam Wainwright in the rotation?

Wainwright doesn’t really have “bell pen stuff.” 85 MPH doesn’t really play out of the pen.

Why are Asian-Americans so superior in academics?

There are varying views on the Supreme Court decision, racial justice/Affirmative Action, etc. With that said, there is one thing that cannot be denied -- qualified students of Asian descent were denied admission to Harvard and UNC in favor of less-qualified students of other races. Rather...

ESPN lays off employees, with more cuts to come

Off the top of my head, I cannot think of anybody who is worse at their job than Kendrick Perkins is at his TV job. Timing is everything in life. Kendrick had a long and lucrative NBA career, which is the only reason he has a TV gig that (I assume) is also lucrative. Were Kendrick coming of...
