    This. it's a strange year where there are no clear front runners. Iowa has experienced the same cushion as many of the Big12 teams. we've got 6 losses and are still in the top-10. Which I feel, based on the teams surrounding them, is perfectly fair and deserved.

    I would agree with most of what you said. However, if Iowa wins B1G outright they won't need to do much in the BTT...maybe win that first game and get to semifinals. Winning the conference will do most of the work. It's just as likely for Iowa/Maryland to have dual #1's as it is for KU/OU...

    from one perspective I completely agree with your point. they are college kids and (historically) can be prone to mental lapses. from another angle--when looking at Iowa's roster vs. the rosters of the rest of our schedule--it would be hard to make the argument against us winning every game...

    15-3 is not, in any way, an "inflated expectation." This team has the talent, depth, and mental strength to defeat every single opponent that remains on their schedule...without the benefit of luck. Iowa has proven, through their on-court performances, that they are an elite basketball team...

    this is a great point. no clue how the team will be playing come tournament time [health, hot/cold, etc] but we should make it to the 2nd weekend rather comfortably. I imagine the Saturday/Sunday game would be fairly tight for the first half, with us pulling away safely in the final 10...

    If we continue to play well, only lose @Indiana, make BTT finals...we should get that #1 seed. Those are extremely hard to come by, obviously. I'd be happy with any seed if it gives us a DSM/Chicago road to Final Four.
