Too bad he backed into the postseason. He really needs another year of development before he is ready for next level but he will never have more draft and signing leverage than as a junior

He is one of the rare drafts that has very little mileage on his arm so that certainly helps his status as well.

Part of me wonders if the length of the season started to take it's toll on Hickman as this is the first full year he has started. Also, for whatever reason he had not so good starts against Michigan and Missouri State both times.

Both teams went with the game plan to hit fastballs and spit on everything else. He got squeezed hard by the ump last night.

Combine those 2 and it made the opponent job much easier
