Iowa baseball sweeps Hoosiers

Hawks are 17-6 with 30 regular season games left. Last year, several at-large NCAA teams got in with 35-37 wins. One would think if we can manage to go 20-10 over the rest of the season, we could get to the NCAA field. Our RPI coming into today was like 15.

Braved the cool weather and took our family to the game on Saturday. First off, the outfield field turf and new scoreboard look very nice. The crowd was pretty decent. I think they said that they had crowds of 600, 700, and 500 for the three game series. They played a great game. Indiana came in to the series having just defeated #7 Louisville. Lets get some wins on the road, at Purdue, next weekend.

Have a buddy that live near Lincoln and goes to all of home Husker games. They will definitely be a contender. They swept Texas over the weekend!

I think the last Big Ten team to win a national title was in 1969. Need to check that.
Last Big Ten national baseball champion was Ohio State in 1966. Minnesota and Michigan won several titles in the 1950s and 1960s.
