A couple of future Hawks in action at club National Duals. Through 2 days and 6 dual matches, Young Guns Black is undefeated and hammering all comers. Michael Kemmerer won his matches and looked pretty impressive in doing so. He's wrestling up at 152, so he looks to be giving up a little bit of size. His takedown defense is incredible. Maybe needs to work on not letting guys get in so deep on his legs, but his hip pressure is incredible. Didn't show much on top, but has a heck of a motor, he will definitely be the kind of guy who wears his opponents out and gut out some wins with conditioning.
I was actually more impressed with Kaleb Young he was wrestling mostly up at 160, but also wrestled up at 170 for a match. Young dominated his competition and showed an exciting skill set. He is an incredible athlete with great hips and reminds me a little of Ben Askren (a blend of funk and aggression). I hadn't seen much of him and am now very excited to see him as a Hawk in a couple years. Depending on what kind of tournament schedule he has next year, he could definitely shoot up the national rankings. He looked that good!
Young Guns is a gold mine that I hope we can continue to drawn from.
