It was another difficult week for Iowa's Olympic sports. The Field hockey squad suffered two losses, while the soccer team came up short against some of the best in the conference. The volleyball team also lost a pair of road matches. Hawkeye soccer snagged a point against Michigan with a 1-1 draw but fell to conference champions Michigan State in the regular season finale. Still, the Hawks were able to hold off the bottom half of the conference and earned the final spot in the upcoming Big Ten tournament. They'll have to face the Spartans again, the match is scheduled for Sunday, but if anyone knows how to pull off a postseason upset, it's this group. The team still has many of the players from 2020's magical conference tourney run and feels like they've left points on the table throughout conference play. Here's hoping they can put it all together for another Cinderella run.

Iowa Field Hockey lost a pair of ranked matchups last week but is still ranked in the top ten at #8. The Big Ten has given Iowa some fits with its physical style and the young team is continuing to fight to figure out how to come out with the energy needed to match these physical teams and counter some of their high-pressing play. Iowa will have another chance at a big win in the season finale at home this Friday against Rutgers.
