A high 4.7 to 5 second hangtime and an avg of ever 45 yards with a small variance in both measures is great in the pros. Great anywhere but pros love knowing what they are getting and for not giving up big run backs. And If Tory keeps hitting wedge shots inside the 10 yard line that is huge.

The bears are my first main team and I hope Tory doesnt have to punt a whole bunch but that he does great when called on.

Compare that against maybe the greatest Bear of all time. Walter Payton's highest annual salary was $475,000 (about $1.2M with general inflation adjustment).

With the changes to the Kick Off rules, this was an absolute great pick by the Bears imo.

Also, someone in the Chicago offices need to get busy on the 19 Jerseys. They would sell like hot cakes in Iowa and the Chicago burbs.

Bears STC Richard Hightower was asked if Tory would be used on kickoffs with the new kickoff rule. He made it sound like it's possible.

What is the new kickoff rule?

Wow, what a factoid! To me “Sweetness” was one of the toughest RB’s of all time.
Got more yards by himself with little to no blocking until the mid 80’s. He was worth every penny but to think a modern day punter receives more than twice as much?! Incredible!
