All head coaches are. The difference is there are certain expectations that must be met at tOSU vs Iowa. Either you win at tOSU or you are gone for not winning B1G titles or playing for a national championship. Add in, beating Michigan.

At Iowa, KF has done a good job but hasn’t won a B1G title since 2004 and is in no jeopardy of losing his job or experienced any heat at all. I wish Iowa had pursued Kyle McCord after last season or Ty Thompson but KF was committed to Cade McNamara which proved to be a mistake. tOSU qb room is deep and good. Just amazed they thought Will Howard was the answer to their need.
Has Ferentz won an outright Big Ten title ?

For those wanting Kirk Ferentz gone

Ponder this. Someday KF retires and maybe our next guy provides an uptick in recruiting to the point that we routinely blow out the teams in our region and have competitive games going to the 4th with the big dogs. Hmmmmmmmm
Doubtful.

Everybody knows that when KF leaves, Iowa is immediately going to sink to D3 levels - or lower. Nobody can replace his greatness.

Might as well end the FB program altogether.

For those wanting Kirk Ferentz gone

I’ve always said the problem with social media is giving dumb people a voice is dangerous. Why would anyone ever think it would get any better with a different coach. Take a look around ….. first off Iowa is the most consistent team in the country period. Secondly if you look for another team that was done as well as Iowa over an extended period of time and switch coaches …..they don’t get better…..almost all cases they get worse. We can all name teams that fall into that category. So to think that’s the answer there’s about a 90% chance you fall into the dumb person with a dangerous voice. My question would also be …. Who would be this coach you would want? No top shelf coach will ever come to Iowa because they also know this is not a destination for young people and or players and the state doesn’t have the population or enough top level players in the state to depend on. That have to depend on out of state players and not being a destination location you won’t get the players therefore you won’t get the coach’s you would like. Iowa will end up with a MAC coach. Yeah baby ….. that’s way better!

Is it time to permaban the negative posters who hate to win tough, physical games?

Our lines were manhandled the entire game, but somehow UNL found a way to lose. Discipline, or a lack there of, cost them the game. Iowa had one penalty and even that one was highly questionable. Nebraska made one too many mistakes. The ball didn’t bounce their way on their fourth fumble. But that’s how this series goes.
The oline was completely dominated. The defense had 4 sacks, 8 TFL'S, and allowed only 3.3 per rush.

Iowa fans still think giving up 10 points is too much.

Just got back back from the Iowa/ Nebraska game

It’s pretty blatant. Just as Johnson crosses the 25, an Iowa player at the 30 pushes a Nebraska defender hard in the back, allowing Johnson to run right past him.

I guess I disagree. First Johnson was already passed the defender, and it wasn't a hard push and was more at the side than back imo. Could have been called though.

For those wanting Kirk Ferentz gone

If Kirk wins his bowl game against an SEC team it would go a long way toward getting some of the fans and recruits back on board with him staying a few more seasons.

I’m more worried about our recruiting now. Kirk needs to have a succession plan in place. Maybe the portal makes that easier now since many of our recruits will only be coming here for one or two seasons of eligibility anyway

My thoughts on Tim Lester

Total offense ranking last year 132
This year 114

70 yds more a game.

Pts per game way up to 28….15 last year

Not as much improvement as we would like but improvement nonetheless.

I think the jury is still out. He took over a train wreck offense.

I wonder how much the yardage fell off after the UCLA game. Playing 2.5 games with a 3rd string walk on qb and no healthy backup had to kill the average

Trump had millions fewer votes.

Millions. That is a WHOLE lotta people like me that voted for him last time and didn't this time.

I will be expecting apologies in this thread from all the sanctimonious jerks on here that pompously told me who I was going to vote for even though there is zero reason to lie about it on an anonymous message board.

Now that they’re done counting, Trump actually had two million more votes than 2020. I await your mea culpa.
