I was jealous of Iowa State football 3 hours ago

ISU does not have a special teams coach. Seriously.

    Next ISU home game

That's pretty close. Speaking only for myself, I would say: 1. I wondered that, myself. I thought there were too many questions. 2. True. 3. True. 4. Close to true. 5. True. 6. I think he's new this season. I think it's the guy who was fired at Northwestern. 7. True 8. Most of us have known this...

    Next ISU home game

Jamie said last week that if they open it up to fans for OU, they'd have around 12,000 at most. If they decide against opening, it won't be because they're concerned about a small crowd.

Which would you rather have happen?

Defense was good enough to win. Purdy may have had his worst game as a Cyclone. OL is still a huge problem. Receivers dropped balls. And the special team play was incredibly poor. The team looked entirely unready to play. Unfortunately, that's become the September standard under Campbell. I...

Which would you rather have happen?

I can offer an opinion on that. First, you can't equate Louisiana with UNI, and that isn't a knock on UNI. It was a VERY tough loss. I'm glad I wasn't allowed to attend. Now......would I prefer the game hadn't been played? No.

Iowa State and Louisiana cleared to play

The DL is excellent. You are right about everything else, I think.

So, did the Clowns kneel during the national anthem?

Unless they changed the format, the team doesn't come onto the field until after the anthem is played. Today they took that a step further. They didn't come onto the field at all. Ever.

    No fans left early.

ISU COVID athletic department testing results

Do you know why he says it's successful. Simple. He cited how much better the record is at ISU than at Iowa and said it isn't because they are doing anything better; it was that the athletes at ISU are going to be playing. In other words, they have an incentive to toe the line on restrictions...

It's suppose to be Cy-Hawk Week.......

Nah. It's a hangover from spending too much time on HROT. "Moran" is standard over there. Has been for quite awhile. Somebody actually misspelled "moron" once and it caught on.

ISU COVID athletic department testing results

Nah. I've taken Zoloft. He needs something a lot stronger.

SEC & Big 12 teams w/ at least 53 players available MUST PLAY or Forfeit. Includes Minimum of 7 OL, 4 interior DL & 1 QB

First, they can still play with fewer than 53 players available, as long as the position quotas are OK. Second, they're testing three times a week. The last time is Friday, so I assume if they suddenly discovered Friday night they didn't meet the rules, they couldn't play Saturday. Everybody...

It's suppose to be Cy-Hawk Week.......

Only a moran or a Hawkeye fan -- sorry for the redundancy -- would fail to recognize that the Ragin' Cajuns are a good team.

It's suppose to be Cy-Hawk Week.......

If last year's game had been canceled because of the weather -- which maybe it should have been -- this year's game would still have been scheduled for Iowa City. And nobody would have said a word about it.

SEC & Big 12 teams w/ at least 53 players available MUST PLAY or Forfeit. Includes Minimum of 7 OL, 4 interior DL & 1 QB

My first reaction was The Can’t Do That! On second thought, not only can they do it, it makes sense and I would assume all teams are doing it.

No big deal. We already accepted your forfeit. See you next year in Ames.

    Radio?

If you don't care what the score is, what down it is, where the ball is on the field, and who the Hawks are playing, I agree they're a great team.

    OT: Hakeem Butler cut

I agree wholeheartedly. Drops were a recognized problem when he was at ISU. Probably just lack of concentration, but it hurt badly on several occasions. That isn't what a pro does. Having said that, I still wish he would have come back for his senior year.

    OT: Hakeem Butler cut

Yeah, and he was very good at breaking tackles. I didn't mean to downplay the importance of the drop. That was one of about thirty-eleven plays on both sides that might have decided the game.

    OT: Hakeem Butler cut

He was short of a first down....but yes, it was a huge drop. He had others, too. And then he'd make an unbelievable circus catch.
