    Nebby losing their leading scorer Teddy Allen, makes me think the bb program is headed like the fb team. Recruit great players and then lose said players. We should be able to handle this game.

    Kenyon has stated that his sons are real close in ability. Roster structure and PT are giving an advantage to Keegan. Kris is going to be great with more game experience.

    Luka NBA...

    Luka did just fine against Kofi and others while being double teamed. His performances speak better than his optics. Always one of the first down the floor and gets his opponents in foul trouble.

    Glad to beat Pissconsin, BUT

    In the last 2 games, Iowa has done a much better job of staying with the 3 point shooters and bothering their shots, resulting in a lower shooting %. We have also kept our opponents under their scoring average. Lots more effort. Good job Hawks!

    Luka had a tough game, like everybody does eventually. He did a lot of things right to get in position to score and missed shots he is normally over 90% on. He also missed most of his free throws. He'll be better next time.

    We did a much better job today closing out on the 3 pt shooters. It takes effort to chase your man through the screens and we picked it up today.

    QB is the position that can have the biggest difference between practice performance and game performance. Lots of responsibility along with greatly increased pressure can wilt a player. Nobody else is getting a chance to show what they can do in a game situation. It's an old story at Iowa...

    We've really been hurt by the physical beatings Luka has been taking in the paint. Refs are either just letting more stuff go later in the season or they are getting tired of calling fouls on those players and taking them out of the game.     If we could shoot free throws, we would have a nice lead. 2nd half of the season it seems nobody can drain them.

    Win or lose tonight, there is no way we catch Michigan. We screwed the pooch against Purdue and Minny a long time ago. It will still be a great season, but no championships. Reality bites.
