From the weekly University of Iowa email today...all UI summer courses will be online and all other summer programming - youth sports camps, wildlife camps, conferences & meetings etc. - have been canceled.     I also hope that happens. However, like Bruce's opinion, it is based on nothing other than hope and a desire for things to return to normal, not evidence or science. My hope to win the lottery and move to a Tuscan villa is similarly valid.

    A. Testing is not (and never will be) 100% accurate. There will be both false positives and false negatives. B. There is always a window of time after a person is infected when the virus is undetectable. C. One undetected case would be all that's necessary to infect an entire team. D...

    S. Korea is recovering because they responded immediately and made the tough calls and sacrifices necessary to stop the spread of the virus. Americans are unwilling to do this (as evidenced by a lot of people on this board) thus our timeline for recovery will be much, much longer.

    If it's enough of an issue that they don't want crowds then they aren't going to play period. The players themselves would be at risk. You don't want to put 22 young men in close proximity, sweating, breathing, coughing, and spitting on one and other.
