    Seems like wrestling is a sport where the coach needs/tends to have to have a lot of pedigree on the mat. Conversely, look at the NBA, there are a bunch of short white dudes coaching. E.G. Van Gundy's, lol.

    If you showed me these in November I would only be disappointed with Woods and Franek. Everyone else is at or exceeds my pre season thoughts.

    There is nothing to worry about regarding 125 seeding. The parity is too close across the board. It's not like Drake can't beat Deaug, the matches have been incredibly close. IMO 1-8 seeds are basically interchangeable and will have similar paths.

    Initial thoughts: Brody gets the 3 seed, nice. Love Woods seed/draw Franek has a tough road for the 4 seed Caliendo and MM in semis will be a great. Looking for a much closer match this time

    Not good optics. The only way to avoid this whole situation is to limit the athletes to only compete for their actual birth country.

    You hit the nail on head here. How many times do the Russians fail to qualify? Most Russians competing for other nations will take a dive h2h vs their motherland or their head might end up on a stick.
