Youtube video of some Lester WMU offensive plays

Lainez and Resar are both mobile. It would be 'Brad Banks' level stupid not to utilize that.

Youtube video of some Lester WMU offensive plays

Telling you, meshing these concepts could be really, really difficult on opposing LB / S San Fran Run Game

IF Kirk will allow these concepts (Pitch Iso, Mesh RPO, Echo routes) as part of the offense and commits to a utilizing 12 personnel (H-back / Move vs. In-line) I think this offense can be a strong, efficient offense. (Think SF 49er -light)

So what is Lester’s offensive philosophy?

Not sure what many are looking for -- Lester's teams averaged ~30 points per game. Mixed passing game, but usually had NFL caliber WRs (Skyy Moore, Jayden Reed, D'wayne Eskridge)

    Tim Lester, my thoughts, FWIW

Couple points on Lester: 1) Recognition of NFL receiving talent: Jayden Reed, Skyy Moore, D'wayne Eskridge. 2) Increasing receiving TDs, while keeping INTs low. 2017: 14 TD / 4 INT 2018: 16 TD / 6 INT 2019: 20 TD / 8 INT 2020: COVID 2021: 23 TD / 6 INT

    Projecting the 2024 Depth Chart

Reclassifying? 350+ bookend tackles just seems like the right thing to do.

    Brennan Marion whispers

Having read, watched some video on the Go-Go Offense, it is intriguing to me how an H-back could be utilized in this system, as ball carrier, protector, blocker or receiver. It could be also be good fit for loading the roster with positions that we tend to recruit better -- RB, TE. And with...

    Hawkeye Names and Phrases.

Hey! I need a word or two from you. I'm trying to make a gift for a friend using Hawkeye terms, names, etc. as the background. Here's what I have so far -- see if you can add a word or two. 'Preciate the help! IOWA FOOTBALL. SMART. TOUGH. PHYSICAL. BREAK THE ROCK. FIGHT FOR IOWA...

    68-3

I initially thought the 68-3 was your record since you started cheating. When I realized it was the combined score of our last two games I thought — yup, seems about right with the way they recruit…. Then I got to thinking… Kirk is 7-9 vs the Mulvarines — which is about 4 wins better than we’d...

    New Tier for D1 football

Iowa did not have a Top-5 defense because of Nick Jackson. In the past you wait your turn and develop behind the JRs and SRs. Now you pop and look for the biggest payday (Anterio Thompson) I don’t mind playing on a slightly tilted playing field, but with less fertile recruiting grounds...

    New Tier for D1 football

Ok, just as an example — Michigan loses JJ to the draft this year. Usually that means a developmental year for the program as they break in the new 4 / 5 * Now, they go and get a guy that already has collegiate experience from UCLA and the train keeps rolling. Ohio State looks to upgrade...

FSU Getting Screwed Only Speeds Up them Leaving ACC

LOL. The ‘facts and rules’ were subjective, to the point where an undefeated P5 team was deemed equivalent to a 1-loss SEC squad. Only then was it even relevant that FSU lost their starting QB — which while important is hardly disqualifying (see tOSU’s Barrett / Jones). What would have been...

    New Tier for D1 football

So, you think it does enhance competition or does it favor the biggest payors? My contention is that the gap between haves and have nots will just spread with unrestricted Free Agency..

FSU Getting Screwed Only Speeds Up them Leaving ACC

F***. I’ve got no answer to that. If you’re the average fan, and the average fan says that $$$ should be the ultimate determinant. There is no argument I can really make.

    New Tier for D1 football

You’re ki I don’t think that’s the right read. In fact the Transfer Portal enhances the ability of the Top Tier to attract and fill holes and upgrade their depth chart. Iowa can do this to a certain degree, but the proposition is still a net loss for Hawkeye fans, I think.
