Considering the obstacles Iowa faced this year

Gambling probe hurt but it also highlighted the gap between us and Fun State. Van Ness gets hurt at 149 and they bump a true freshman 141 lber (backup) who goes on to finish 3rd. He also looks bigger and more developed than our starter. I don’t think they should fire everyone but I do think we...

I can sat with confidence that my performance did not increase as I gained weight but that had nothing to do with wrestling either. 😂

Had the pleasure of meeting him over the winter. Great wrestler and very nice man as well.

    Daniel Cormier

I liked that he wasn’t afraid to call out bad officiating even if it was from a match from years ago.

    Who is leaving?

Worse thing that could happen next year is someone beating PSU in a dual /tourney before Feb 1. If that happens, Cael will do whatever it takes to get RBY back for second semester.

    Iowa H.S. State Finals

Someone posted on Twitter that he weighs 155. No idea if it’s accurate but he definitely looks small for 170.

I don’t like it but I can understand it. I would think if you work out with guys everyday you would become friends and cheer for them. Add that to leaving Iowa with a bad taste in his mouth and it all adds up. He sure seems to have a chip on his shoulder with his approach to everything.

Dale Hanson and Gene Lybbert were national champs from Cresco as well. They should be honorable mention or in the top 5 as well. https://www.iowawrestlinghalloffame.com/inductee/dale-hanson https://www.iowawrestlinghalloffame.com/inductee/gene-lybbert

    Caleb Rathjen

He was named to the 2nd team all state team so he was one of many standouts on the team. He plays very physical which is similar to the way he wrestles.

several of these guys are on the track team as well. Brecken Manus plays football and basketball. So does Simonsen. There are just as many back ups that play multiple sports as well.

should have quoted Curtisloew40. You replied to that post and I was referring to the comment about not being able to play other sports.

    Sebolt Wrestling Academy

I know of a few who go there and play multiple sports so I’m not sure how accurate that statement is. Having said that, I only know a handful of wrestler’s that go there but all of the ones I know, play more than one high school sport.
