    You say its not wrecked, but then describe something totally different from what people know and love about college football. I do agree that what you describe will happen eventually, except just with the SEC and B1G teams, who are not going to want to let the other conferences in on the spoils.

    I know that is conventional wisdom, but I'm not sure I buy it. USC is on the rise of course, but UCLA is often meh. Plus there are plenty of cupcakes in the East and OSU and UM can only play so many teams. You know they are going to want USC, PSU, UM and OSU to play each other every year...

    I’m not mad that the players are getting paid. I’m mad that since change is happening so rapidly with nobody in charge, we are going to kill the golden goose. It’s reckless. Secondarily, what these changes tell us about our institutions of higher learning and culture as a whole is disappointing.

    Think of the good all if that money could do if the NCAA was a functioning body that stayed true to its mission. Instead, College Football is now a dick measuring contest for people that have more money than sense.

    Disappointing and frustrating

    This is a good post, but there are also way more examples of states that falls into this category but have less success than Iowa. Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, Arkansas, Missouri and Kentucky come to mind. Utah has good thing going. Iowa is ahead of the distribution curve.
