    Big Ten Power Rankings

This looks pretty close. I would probably move Nebraska down 4 spots to 11.

    Jack Kallenberger Tweet

Huge difference between a comment like what you cited and a coach repeatedly calling the kid stupid, most of the time in front of his teammates. That’s not motivating, that’s humiliating. Most of us have never been treated like Jack references or understand what that can do to a person’s psyche...

That was one of the weirdest BB game finishes I've ever witnessed...

The foul was not called on the court. The play finished, then they went to review for possible flagrant contact. All of the play leading up to the dead ball where the F1 personal foul was issued stands. Then the penalty is administered when the F1 is discovered - two free throws to the offended...

Completely agree. Disgusting is a great word to describe the initial and follow up posts by this guy.

He’s getting cut loose by Frost.

The Iowa defense is a paper tiger.

I can confirm this is true.

We stand a good chance of finishing 0-4 and 6-6.

Have you watched Nebraska play? You have about an 85% chance is beating us at this point.

B1G west thoughts ... Maryland's impact on Iowa

He was pretty good in the first half (9 for 9 for 180 yards passing, 45 yards rushing, 2 TDs). The second half was a different story. There were a lot of problems offensively in the second half, he was just one of them. Playcalling was confusing, they had 4 important chunk plays called back for...

Iowa stays at #19 & #20 in the polls

The point remains that he’s young and will make mistakes he won’t make as a senior when he has been in the program for 4 and a half years. How much better is Nate Stanley now than he was a redshirt freshman? Martinez will be fine, but he has plenty of room to grow before he has mastered the...

The defense looked the opposite of soft, if you watched the game.

Iowa stays at #19 & #20 in the polls

So the defense played well then.

Iowa stays at #19 & #20 in the polls

I was pretty happy with how the defense played. The turnovers they got were not fluke turnovers, they were created by a defense that attacked. I liked seeing that. I think the defense is taking another step forward this year with its physicality, but time will tell if its enough to truly contend...

    Row the Boat

They very well could get beat by Fresno next week. They'll have to play significantly better if they want to win that game.

    Row the Boat

I agree - they can keep their offensive playbook under wraps, but they gave up quite a bit on the run in the second half. Wasn't impressed. I'm also not surprised any longer by how teams from the Dakotas play. There are a lot of good FCS players from the 6 state area (SD, ND, MN, WI, IA, NE)...

    Row the Boat

I think that is how the referee on the sideline who stands on the LOS is able to know if the OL is lined up in the backfield. I played DL in college, and I can't quite remember the rule, but I think it's something like that. But you're right, it does seem a bit arbitrary. SDSU is #3 in the FCS...

IIRC, It has to do with where the Gs and Ts helmet is relative to the Cs hips. As long as the helmet is not behind the butt, it's legal.

    Row the Boat

SDSU is pretty good. I'm surprised I haven't read more takes like this, given the lesson Iowa learned about over-estimating good FCS programs a few years back.
