“We’re just going to see how the Refs are calling the game & go from there....Caitlin’s very emotional." Colorado players plan on getting in her head

Good for them, that's exactly how competitive people should approach a game line this.

Iowa City school board to consider closing Hills Elementary amid budget constraints

They do their own audits? Lol, you have to be joking. Let us know when their FY24 independent audit is complete and publicly available. Oh, and they have to pay about $20k to have one done or they're non-compliant and rush suspension or closure. Fvcking scam and your repeated ignorance on this...

Iowa City school board to consider closing Hills Elementary amid budget constraints

Private funds, huh? Would be cool if they had to conduct an audit or submit a CAR like public schools so that could be verified. But no, they just get public money with no restrictions.

Gov Reynolds attacks on public education working: Linn-Mar to lose 50 staff members in budget cuts. UPDATE: CR also losing staff.

Page 2 of this thread would be one example. Are you okay? It's a little concerning you can't remember this from a few days ago.

Gov Reynolds attacks on public education working: Linn-Mar to lose 50 staff members in budget cuts. UPDATE: CR also losing staff.

I'm a former teacher and current coach, correcting mistakes is in my nature. As a great coach of mine once said, "your either coaching it or you're allowing it."

Gov Reynolds attacks on public education working: Linn-Mar to lose 50 staff members in budget cuts. UPDATE: CR also losing staff.

Your questions have been answered several times. And it's called following Iowa code, not hiding behind anything. Public schools are beholden to state reporting and financial audits, none of which private schools are. Your narrative is tired and inaccurate.

Gov Reynolds attacks on public education working: Linn-Mar to lose 50 staff members in budget cuts. UPDATE: CR also losing staff.

You were complaining about schools building or renovating facilities while also cutting staff. The picture, and common school knowledge, proves those have nothing to do with each other. The fact they could both be funded by property taxes is irrelevant when discussing expenditures. SAVE/PPEL/GO...

Look at the allowable expenditures. At this point you're just being willfully ignorant.

America's retirement age of 65 is "crazy," BlackRock CEO says.

Yeah, fvck this guy. Guarantee he also opines about how"nobody wants to work anymore" while reaping in millions in bonuses. He's right that 65 is crazy, though. It should be way lower. Unless Kimmy and her klan mess it up, thanks to IPERS I'll be retiring much earlier than that.

Oh my God. This is basic school finance stuff. General fund versus SAVE/PPEL/GO bonds. Look at this picture that even my daughter could understand:

Money spent on facilities is totally irrelevant when discussing staff salaries. Read the thread, you just might learn something.

    Windmills in Iowa

We have about 225 of them in our district. They are huge money makers for the school and have helped reduce the property tax rate for other property owners by a fairly significant amount. Lots of people complained when they first put them up, but I'm sure they appreciate it now, or at least...

He's gonna keep ignoring the question. And for the record, there's no fvcking way I'd be a superintendent of a district with 10-25k kids in it for only $225k. That's a laughable salary for the amount of pressure they'd be under and work that would require.

Gov Reynolds attacks on public education working: Linn-Mar to lose 50 staff members in budget cuts. UPDATE: CR also losing staff.

Yeah, districts aren't cutting staff because their superintendent makes too much. You don't know much about school finance, and that's okay, not many people do. But most people are rational enough to realize they don't and just sit it out. You're still decrying districts spending money on...

You have not provided any examples of exorbitant salaries in this thread. Or are you talking about the superintendent in charge of a $100 million business making $240k? Lol. Let's get some actual examples of out of control spending, please. I look forward to your response.
