    Yeah my grandfather had one of those cushy coal miner jobs, complete with the meso parting gift. He didn’t give my dad much, other than his work ethic and values. My dad did go to college on the gi bill, but that came with it own cost of admission.

    in fairness, it's always a little murky to say exactly what "the beginning" of any geographic "thing" was, but one thing i think we can say is that among the abrahamic religions that have fought over that little slice of paradise over the years, the jewish people were there first.
