    Kings Media Day

Iowa won last year because of their defense. To say McCaffery doesn't coach it is ridiculous. He may not spend a huge allotment of time on it in practice because they are so efficient on offense. Mike Brown took Golden State to the #2 defense in the NBA last year as they won the title. It is a...

    Keegan Murray

The basketball team definitely supports the football team. Kris was hosting Donovan Freeman this past weekend too. Great kid and wonderful family. I spoke with him and his family for about 45 mins on Friday. Hope he continues to consider Iowa as a landing spot. 😁

    Keegan Murray

Really?!? He like all three of our boys are in committed relationships. I would appreciate utilizing decorum when referencing my son’s personal life. Joke or not, if you wouldn’t say this to his face or my own, don’t say it here. They have great role models when it comes to relationships...

Kris Murray - Way-to-Early 2023 NBA Mock Draft

Kris and Keegan both golf left handed. I was taught to play sports right handed. I write, eat and throw left handed. I shoot, golf, bowl and bat right handed.

    Kris Murray returning to Iowa

Nope. He doesn’t have a guarantee. The process isn’t over. Pro day is Saturday and then he could receive and invite for private workout with teams before June 1 deadline.

    Kris Murray returning to Iowa

Teams see his potential athletically, shooting and continued physical development. Never forget “intangibles”. Kris has almost been more impressive to NBA teams with the kind of person he is. Character plays a huge part of getting in and staying in the NBA. Now, there are players who may not...

Do you think Kris Murray will return next season?

Nah. Just letting everyone know that he is still in the process and he is still training and being evaluated. Things could still happen in the 11th hour that could make the difference in Kris’ decision.

Do you think Kris Murray will return next season?

Not injured. Great momentum with his workouts and is still going to be evaluated by NBA teams even though he is not participating in the combine.

Do you think Kris Murray will return next season?

No decision has been made. No combine participation doesn't mean he isn't still getting evaluated by NBA front offices. June 1 is the deadline to withdraw from the draft.

Do you think Kris Murray will return next season?

Kris ISN'T a post player!! He played that position because of necessity. He is being evaluated as a 3/4 (mostly 3) at the next level.

Tyrese Hunter in transfer portal official

Schools are actually able to drop players. When you sign a NLI, you are signing for 1 year!! You may know this and I am being redundant, but a student athlete must sign their "tender" each year. Usually after the end of the season meeting with the HC. It is at this time that they may "agree" to...

Kris Murray declares for the draft

Unless something CRAZY happens between now and the June 1 deadline, Kris is coming back. He is working out with Keegan and 3 other NBA draft prospects in Chicago. Nothing against what Iowa does in the off season, but 1.5 months of training with NBA level trainers, nutritionists and strength...

Kris Murray declares for the draft

Yes. You have to declare in order to receive feedback from the NBA and potentially work out for teams.
