I would be interested in how much money the HWC has to throw at some Senior level guys after the Olympics in August (or Trials really in late April).
We just built this State of the Art, stand-alone wrestling training facility and now we need guys to fill it. I’d love for HWC to be able to...
Unless someone worthy is lined up, stick with Tom. I’m not sure we couldn’t get some fresh faces underneath him though and in the HWC… maybe look outside of former Hawks for some new perspectives too.
Hurts to lose another Senior level athlete. The cupboard is pretty bare outside of 57kg for the HWC.
I love our guys, but I have a hard time seeing ADS, Warner, Marinelli, Eierman making any Senior level teams.
Wonder if Mineo and Willie’s timelines would have been silent if PSU would have been the first P5 school to host a women’s wrestling dual, had 8k+ fans in attendance (apparently a world record for women’s wrestling), and then dismantled the #5, 11, 13 teams in the country by a total combined...
I’m an Iowa fan and I agree with him. We are stagnant. We need new blood, new styles, new ideas. We need guys that are going to attract other guys. I can’t imagine a top 197 or 285 recruit is coming here to train with Telford (nothing against Telford).
Here I thought this was big news. UFC, a company worth $9-10 Billion that’s flooded with ex-wrestlers decides to partner with a program and its crickets from the wrestling media. Not one word on Facebook or Twitter from Flo or Willie @smalls103 that I’ve seen.
If the deal weren’t with Iowa...
“League offensive player of the year” gave this one away.
Seth Anderson from Charleston Southern fits tho is description. Big South OPOY, in the portal, followed by Tyler Barnes
Brett Gabbert (brother of Blaine) with 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Career:

45 TD
14 INT
No inside info, but I’d kick the tires.
