I wanna help out…do my part…be a MAGA American! Where can I buy a “layer” and not worry I’m getting taken?
What should I expect to pay? Arte they expensive to maintain? Will the neighbors complain?
Jeeeebus…Tom Vilsack….where are you…America needs you now!

If you just want a couple, go pick them out at Theisen's, Tractor Supply, etc. when they sell them this spring.
Otherwise, go to the McMurray Hatchery website.

Yeah they’re pretty to easy find. TSC has them for a pretty good price. And there’s lots of places online. I wish I had a little acreage so I could have some. I always thought it looked like fun.

It is a brilliant idea from our new Sec. of Ag……my achin’ass…..
Heard about that. Doesn’t change my opinion that I think it would be kind of fun. I think the biggest problem is keeping weasels out. They kill for sport.

I've had chickens and enjoyed it quite a bit. It certainly didn't save me any money though. I was paying far more in chicken feed than I was saving by eating eggs. But, they became like pets to some degree. However, over time I lost the battle with the predators.
A fox ate a bunch of them. Raccoon got into the coop once when we were on vacation and killed a bunch. In the end we were down to just one, and it ran under my truck when I was coming up the drive and committed chicken suicide.
