Obviously you equate a traitor to the Crown being equivalent to a traitor to a country that, purposefully, doesn’t have a crown.
Everyone has their price. We will see this for the next 4 years….. again! Have you bought your Chinese Bible/Declaration/Constitution yet? Only 6 more shopping days to Christmas!Perhaps the dems can buy a few of these right-wing strategists. Seems like republicans have been ahead of them here for a while now.
If the Dems want to win in ‘26 and ‘28 they damn well better pay attention to what happened. Having the humility to learn a lesson in defeat is incredibly important to figuring out how you move forward. The interview was excellent in understanding how team MAGA played their hand. Whether they directly drove the outcome or were handed the outcome based on macro factors there is much to glean from how they thought about their campaign. A couple observations on their view of Kamala’s mistakes:
i have to say, its a little unfortunate that any western institution has an organization called the "central committee" after the last century.Fwiw, had a central commitee meeting for Dallas County GOP last night. They gave us some insight on this also. We were told Trump did an internal poll on the 7 swing states, post debate with Biden, and felt like he would win all 7. He started getting people for positions and working with senators to see who he could get into his cabinet at that time.
The message from the party to the representatives will be, we voted Maga, we want Maga policies. We didn't vote for Teump for the Jodi Ernst of the world to glaze him over, she is up in '26 and will be reminded of that. The focus is this being a 2 year admin not a 4 year admin as the midterms likely create gridlock. ( though by my math the dems have more seats to lose than the repubs. )
How do the Democrats always have more seats to lose? I hear this same story every election.Fwiw, had a central commitee meeting for Dallas County GOP last night. I seem to remember 26 seats open for Dems and 13 for repubs but I may be wrong. How do the Democrats always have more seats to lose? I hear this same story every election.

Re timing, (i) yeah, my buddy was talking to them about dos positions and going through some vetting in july, and (ii) i think your 2026 math is wrong.
I haven't looked into it either. You might be right. I just don't have the energy for that right now.I seem to remember 26 seats open for Dems and 13 for repubs but I may be wrong.
And it was verbal so I may have done the mental math wrong across the branches.I haven't looked into it either. You might be right. I just don't have the energy for that right now.
On the Senate Side...it's actually 20R, 13D. Last time I eyeballed the details, it seemed to me that you could expect a range from about +3D to +1R, setting aside things like Vance and the Rubio seat. But that's obviously an eternity away, and it's why that current margin is a big deal. Sitting here today, I'd think there's presumptive R control in 2026, but with a smaller margin.I seem to remember 26 seats open for Dems and 13 for repubs but I may be wrong.
The 20 and 13 were the numbers I had in my head, I must have mixed them. The messaging last night was, we have 2 years, we have to expect gridlock after 26, they know this and that is why he was so advanced in setting up his cabinet. Apparently he started getting people after the Biden debate which is why he was really pissed of the change. He learned things from the first run I think will allow him to navigate DC better. On the Senate Side...it's actually 20R, 13D. House side is always a crap shoot (as it's supposed to be), and I think i read something yesterday to the effect that that's currently the #1 D strategic priority for 2026.
FWIW, on the senate side, sitting here today imo, the ones potentially in play (liberally construed) could be:The 20 and 13 were the numbers I had in my head, I must have mixed them. We shall see.
I can’t imagine what an ego boost it must be to have been elected POTUS and then lose and then win again.
And then be “replaced” before you take office by a guy whose name wasn’t even in the ballot!I can’t imagine what an ego boost it must be to have been elected POTUS and then lose and then win again.
If he was a little smarter, he would be the village idiot.Obviously you equate a traitor to the Crown being equivalent to a traitor to a country that, purposefully, doesn’t have a crown.
Should NEVER have a crown.
But you just voted for one. And now not even the one you voted for.
Yes. Our founding father were traitors. Treasonous. To a Crown.
Now you’re trying to make light of. Making jokes. About their decisions.
That’s where we are now as a nation.
MAGAs want a return to the good ol’ days..Back when the Brits sent their Governors to rule their colonies. Things got done much quicker than today…and the Crown backed their decisions.Obviously you equate a traitor to the Crown being equivalent to a traitor to a country that, purposefully, doesn’t have a crown.
