A. We get back on track and have a nice rebound win against a decent, not bad G5 team that has been competitive in recent years......and we still have more questions than answers about key positions.
B. We struggle and have to grind out a win, and the "every single game defines the entire season.............until the next game's results defines the entire season" crowd demands that the entire team and coaching staff be fired and forced to join Ellsworth Community College for the remainder of the 2024 season. Reality of this outcome- we get more of the same from the past few seasons going forward. Offense slogs through every game. Defense has to play perfect to avoid losing 10-7 or something depressingly stupid like that. We get lots of unnecessary roller coaster moments, some good, some bad and we could still end up 10-2, but it would feel just like last year where there is a clear low ceiling and the season ends with a whimper so that we can't truly enjoy the fact that we won 10 games......or the roller coaster could take us to a 9 win, 8 win, or even 7 win season and a chance at a win in another glorified postseason exhibition where the opponent may or may not try depending on how many of their players are out injured or opting out for the draft/transfer portal...................
C. We lose to Troy and the season is over then and there regardless of what our record ends up being. We fire everyone before they can even leave the field, then arrest them and ship the entire program worth of players and staff to live out the rest of their days in a Peruvian prison deep in the jungle, and we remove football as a varsity sport offered at the University of Iowa.
Those are the ONLY 3 possible outcomes for Saturday, and in all 3 we are also certainly capable of watching Iowa get shipwrecked, regardless of outcome, by c***su**ing, can't-have-nice-things, anything to f***ing keep Iowa down, *kicks your mother's dog out of the way* injuries...........................
