Anyone else impressed? Footwork, speed, balance, and power... He hits the hole very quickly...
Well were damn happy to have him, with IKM already dinged up, he's added some quality depth........Anyone else impressed? Footwork, speed, balance, and power... He hits the hole very quickly...
Yep, was very similar to the play that IKM scored on in week one. Happy he's a Hawk......Loved his balance on that TD run.
Not really. 2.8 ypc.Anyone else impressed? Footwork, speed, balance, and power... He hits the hole very quickly...
No back looks good ... not even that Akrum kid ... when the holes aren't there. Ask David Montgomery for one.... But when the holes have been there, Toren and Sargent have made the most of them.
I think we will see Mansell play quite a bit against UNI (2nd half, assuming a considerable lead).Peyton Mansell has a TD too.
Man, I'd love to watch his mobility for a quarter to see if/how it impacts a defense. Nate is struggling. Peyton was 9 for 11 in the spring game.
I know, #2 QB is the most popular guy on the team. I'd give Mansell the ball for a half vs. UNI and see what happens. And I sure as hell wouldn't let Nate play a full game vs. Wisconsin if he plays like he did last year.
Just my opinion. Have a nice day.![]()
Well I can't dispute that, but it seemed at times that Akrum made chicken salad out of chicken shit.![]()
Also, I stopped basing any serious evaluations of players based on the Spring scrimmage. For a variety of reasons, it's just not a reliable predictor for the player's position (vis-à-vis other players) or future performance.
Exactly. When your passing game sucks as much as ours typically does the defense can focus on run like we see so muchNo back looks good ... not even that Akrum kid ... when the holes aren't there. He did when he wasn't getting hit 2-4 yards deep in the backfield, and that sure seemed to happen a lot.Well I can't dispute that, but it seemed at times that Akrum made chicken salad out of chicken shit.![]()

I hear you, and Im not saying it's justified, but how many times in 20 years has Ferentz gone to the 2nd string??
forgot about that one!Only after KOK made him sit Jake C.![]()
Yeah I like him so far but I'm not completely sold on anything offensively. We look out of sync, all facets. The running attack is iffy and the passing is spotty at best. If we can become even an average offense quickly, we will be almost impossible to beat.
