11 points separates Iowa from the first place in the B1G!

It’s hard to believe that 11 points separate Iowa from sitting atop Big 10 right now. Winning 3 games we should have won would have made our record 13-4.
Rutgers: 48-46 (our offense disappearing!)
Penn State: 90-86 (phantom foul 2 seconds before the end of the 2nd OT)
Michigan: 84-79 (missing 4 dunks and all those lay ups)

If only the b1g had fair and/or competent refs! That's life though ...

Even crazier?

Iowa is 24 total points away from being 15-2 in the B1G right now, vs their current 10-7 standing.

Adding to the above;

@ PU: 77-70. Fell just short in completing the huge comeback in the B1G opener.
vs ILL: 87-83. Man do I hate seeing Iowa lose to those frigging punks!!

True and a great point! I was so hoping we could beat Illinois. I was looking for their assistant who had that handshaking incident with Fran a couple of years ago. Apparently, he’s at Kentucky now!

It would have been nice to have those be reversed in our favor.
True, but since we can't do that, will have just have to go on a "revenge tour".

Starting Thursday night in Ann Arbor, followed by Sunday evening in Champaign, and then lining them up and mowing them down in Indianapolis the following weekend.

Chin Coleman, responsible for Ayo to Illinois. Former AAU Illinois guy, sneaky mtfer. Brought to Kentucky to forge an Illinois tie. Largely responsible for Brooks to Kentucky.

If there's a silver lining to be found, it's that the Hawks appear to be hitting their stride at just the right time. Yeah, I'm sure Iowa would love to have the Rutgers, PSU, and Purdue games back, but losing doesn't always have to be discouraging. Losses can be learning experiences, and also be the fire that tempers the steel.

There seems to be a hunger to this team that I haven't seen in a McCaffery coached team since like ever. Not even last year (yeah, it was a very good and fun team, but I also think they bought into their own hype a little bit). Whether or not that translates to postseason success remains to be seen, but the way they're playing as of late, there aren't many teams Iowa can't beat.
