I’m not surprised. In his first term he got rid of NEPA, the father of the EPA. People didn’t believe it because it was a program installed by Nixon.
So during Trump 1.0, many people had their heads in the sand, believing he wouldn’t touch Republican programs.
Well guess what? He’s dismantling everything Nixon, Reagan, Bush 41 and W put into place. Those were Republicans people.
Who opened up China, championed world trade agreements? It was republicans.
As I have had to explain to many, ad nauseum, I didn’t leave the GOP. They left me. The Democrats are floundering because they moved more towards the traditional center. There are no Kennedys, no Carters, in government. The most liberal is Bernie Sanders, a far cry from George McGovern.
Traditionally the NSA has advised presidents they had to govern from the middle. All have respected that, save one, Trump.
