Said it before, this is the best D we’ve had under Ferentz. If we can get “good” Stanley in the big games, the sky is the limit.
And 20* of those were in the last drive. Only 90 before maryland got the ball back

The "D" was dominant today and the game was never in doubt right from the get go. We will need another strong performance next week against PSU on the road. I think the Hawks will be up to the task.

AJ played well against the run today as did Golston. I would expect Hesse with 40 some starts to be better than these young guys.

Hesse may be the most overlooked player on this team. He's rock solid
Hesse is the best at being in the right position. He reminds me a little of Josey last year.
The virtue of having a player with 40+ starts under their belt. Parker is not only solid on a play by play basis, but he makes big plays as well. Really pleased with Gholston so far as well.
Happy with the defensive performance ... better performance than I expected from them.

The game kinda reminded me of a python constricting a gazelle. The gazelle might be fleet-of-foot ... but once the python gets a hold .... the life just gets sucked away from the hoofed beast.

Defense played great today but this stat represents how well the offense did on long sustained drives. I think in the first qtr Maryland had the ball for one drive for like 5 plays.
