The most recent 4 shootings have taken place in West Omaha which is becoming a cesspool of violence.
Four people were shot late Thursday near a southwest Omaha apartment building.
A man in his 20s was shot in the back at the Wentworth apartment complex at 86th Court and R Plaza about 9 p.m. He was taken in critical condition by ambulance to Creighton University Medical Center, authorities said.
Police said the man was uncooperative with on-scene investigators. Officers located the man’s vehicle, which had been shot multiple times and was found running and crashed into a tree.
Three other victims who were shot at the same time and location went to a hospital in private vehicles.
About 9:15 p.m., officers reported to Bergan Mercy Medical Center over three walk-in shooting victims. Police said they were in the vehicle that was shot up.
