Iowa has Nebraska athletic directors comments after last years game over the weight room. They kind of made fun of it. Saying this has motivated Iowa. Is this true?
On another note, living here in Lincoln, 93.7 am was terrible this am. They not only attacked the football team but they attacked the people of Iowa. We are terrible people starting in coucil bluffs. This crap didn't happen in previous years. I'm very disappointed in Lincoln radio. Radio off for me til after game.

Not sure this could be true.

The coaches are usually 100% focused on the game of the week and constantly preach one game at a time. I doubt they would put up a Nebraska quote during the middle of preparation for Purdue. IDK, maybe its been up all year .... I sure as hell Eichorst eats those comments on Black Friday.

So, what does it take to be a great person according to them? Wear 80s style Oakley sunglasses? Sport a goatee? Wear my hat backwards? Walk around in my red Huskers Starter coat circa 1995? Impregnate my sister?

I've never understood why Nebraskans attack Iowa so much. I lived in Missouri for a good many years and never saw any Iowa hate there. Just jealousy I guess.

Not true but makes for good radio in Omaha I guess.

Naw, just beat your girlfriend unconscious. That'll do it.

They could sure use a coach like TO these days, but mostly just to cover up sexual assaults committed by their QB and WR.

Nebraska is afraid that without relevant football they will have to change their name to "Uber South Dakota".

...Or "North Kansas".

When it's affectionately called Counciltucky do you need it spelled out?
I lived in CB for nearly 20 years when I was an executive for Union Pacific. Outside of possibly Des Moines, the Omaha/CB area offers more than any city in Iowa and most everything anyone would want and all within a 30 minute drive. Friendly people, great place to raise a family, low crime rate, great cost of living. My three kids got a great education at Lewis Central, two are Iowa grads one with a Doctorate from Creighton and all three are highly successful. Having traveled extensively throughout Iowa, the Omaha/CB area is definitely a cut above anything Iowa has to offer except DM.

I lived in Omaha, too. Council Bluffs is drug and chlamydia infested. Bellevue is better, and that's saying something.

But Omaha itself kicked ass, especially when I was in college.

The only understandable reason to defend Council Bluffs is if you are from there. If you aren't I have know idea why you would defend that cesspool. Because it is arbitrarily in Iowa? It is like a third world country over there.

1. Sharp & Benning were two in Omaha discussing that and I believe an Iowa fan tweeted that to them. They had a convo about it. It's obviously a Nebraska slant, but they do say some good things about Iowa & provide insight.

2. 93.7 The Ticket in Lincoln is a joke. It's a bunch of mid 20's kids for the most part and their signal barely goes 15 miles outside of Lincoln. They are the ultimate homers, but at the end of the day they are a nobody in the radio world.

3. Council Bluffs has improved vastly since I lived in SW Iowa. So much more to do there now as far as shopping/eating go. Like any city, it has it's crappy parts.

There are a lot of Nebraska people that think of Iowa as a lesser state because they think the population is larger in Nebraska. Yes there are people this ignorant, I have had conversations with them about it.

I think Dean Vernon Wormer said it best------fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.
