Fran is due a contract extension by Barta pretty soon isn't he? Maybe 6 million a year until 2029, sounds about right for a middle of the pack Big Ten basketball team that will never sniff a Big Ten Title under his (cough, cough) expert tutelage
I am enjoying watching Keegan cover up warts just like I did with Garza the previous two season. Having one of the nation's top scorers is pretty cool.... doesn't mean the other stuff isn't going to drive some people nuts.

NCAA basketball right now does not allow for “rebuilding.” There are 2 NBA talents on this team and expectations should be high. The non-con schedule was a joke, and the player minutes are a joke. Fran coaches like he has a lifetime contract. I’m enjoying this team, but there is plenty to bitch about.
Yeah the expectation realistically should be NCAA tournament. When you have one of the best 5-10 players in the whole country, have to be in the tournament. With another probably NBA pick on the roster as well.
If they can play with great effort, they will be fine.

Of course. As does the player. All goes together. Most of credit goes to player, if I were to divvy it out. Kudos to Fran for identifying talent where other power conference schools did not. Fran was also very early on Garza.
