Tim AND Faith both can act. The fact she allowed herself to look frontier rough to complete her character meant she was serious. The scene with her insufferable niece about drinking coffee was really amazing.
And I could watch anything with Sam Elliott. One of a kind.

The main storyline is just a mashup of the Hatfields and McCoys meets the Titanic set one hundred years ago in Africa and America. Chick flick in Western clothing. Sorry to be a hater, but the only redeeming parts of it are Helen Mirren’s performance and the minor storyline of the Indian boarding school horror show and rebellion.

One you start it, 1883 is pretty addictive. Tim McGraw can act. But more importantly Sam Elliot is in in it. Badass like usual

Oh, I loved 1883. Im talking about Yellowstone. I was late to the party and folks started carrying on about how it was jumping the shark, so I never started it. Def liked the 2 prequel shows. Looks like no more seasons of 1883, which is a shame. I don't need anything flashy, don't need ever increasing drama, just tell a good story with good acting and great visuals.

I may finally go watch Lonesome Dove for the above reasons.
