That was the establishment and rule to allow the 3 point shot in college basketball.

I suggest we begin the process and petition the NCAA to completely ABOLISH this 3 point basketball rule that has helped demolish our beloved Iowa basketball program.

We have been cursed because of the implementation of this line, and I don't see any possible way for the basketball program to take a significant step forward towards positive progress until we see an end to this unfortunate 3 point rule and trend.

That same year we went to the final four, and our Hawkeyes were on the cusp of being an elite team for decades, along with probable multiple national championships.

Then, they decided to bring in the 3 point line, and the positive momentum came to a screaming halt.

Every since that time, we have watched opposing team after team, year after year, make an unevenly proportionate of these 3 point goals which have crushed our basketball teams on frequent occasions.

So, as a passionate Hawkeye basketball enthusiast, I suggest we draw up a letter and begin to get the signatures required for the NCAA to consider the abolishment of this 3 point shot in college basketball.
