1st time a FCS team

My apologies if this is wrong fellas. This was on ESPN. But considering the source, it might be just an attempt to further ridicule the Hawks. Nevertheless, I'm p***ed. And it's still a bad loss.

I think you're just too blind with rage to see what ESPN said, because the graphic I saw said it's happened at least 4 times before.

NDSU beat a rated, eventual conference champion Kansas State a few years back.

Nope. They were co-champs of the Big 12 the year before. Not sure why they weren't ranked in the top 25 at the start of the next season, when they lost to NDSU in week 1.

Wait, so they did go on to be champs or no? I didn't think they were ranked but I thought they went on to win.

K State was a Big 12 co-champ in 2012. They lost to NDSU in the first week in 2013 and for some reason, they weren't ranked even though they shared the Big 12 title the year before.

I'm lazy and still mad so I'm not looking up my own answer. What did they do in 2013? I though K state went on to do okay that year. That's what Im asking.

Baylor won the Big 12 in 2013. K State had a mediocre season, 8-5 (5-4 Big 12) and finished with a win over Michigan in the illustrious Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, but never cracked the top 25 all season.

Is it the language? I believe App St was 1-AA and not FCS at the time. Same thing, easy spin for clicks. I don't know about the other two.
