20,000 Haitians have been imported to Springfield, Ohio since Biden and Kamala {Border Czar} took office

I'm quite proud of the people in this post not buying into stupidity! We have plenty of our own stupidity when it comes to Iowa football, we dont need outside stupidity!!

It would be nice if any of the folks decrying this post could post ANY EVIDENCE that it is not factual...always easy to lob insults without any knowledge

The Springfield Police Division said Monday morning they have received no reports related to pets being stolen and eaten.

A social media post originally from a Springfield Facebook group went viral nationally in recent days. The original poster did not cite first-hand knowledge of an incident. Instead they claimed that their neighbor’s daughter’s friend had lost her cat and found it hanging from a branch at a Haitian neighbor’s home being carved up to be eaten.

Ya know when the source of a racist rumor is a facebook post citing the "neighbor's daughters friend"....

You might want to observe the initial post was that 20,000 Haitian immigrants now reside in Springfield, Ohio....while it's nice to know no police reports have been filed regarding cats, let's try and find evidence that refutes that reported figure. I am pretty sure if 20,000 Haitian immigrants were imported to Dubuque in a 4 year span and made up 20% of the population, people would take note.

The Four Freedoms were goals articulated by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt on Monday, January 6, 1941. In an address known as the Four Freedoms speech (technically the 1941 State of the Union address), he proposed four fundamental freedoms that people "everywhere in the world" ought to enjoy:

Freedom of speech and expression
Freedom of worship
Freedom from want
Freedom from fear

He, nor his party wanted people to have those things. Power isn't a want for them, it's a necessity or the possibility of consequences could present itself.
They create want
They create fear
They hate religion (unless it's a religion that hates the USA)
They create dystopia, and call it paradise.
They hate free speech most of all. Because that might result in some transparency and the spreading of critical thinking skills.

A small snippet....

So let’s just clear away the muck before we can proceed to a more adult conversation: Vance keeps incorrectly claiming the Haitian community in Springfield are illegal immigrants. They are not illegal immigrants. They are legal immigrants. They are lawfully in the country. Some are newly arrived legal migrants with work permits, some are fully naturalized U.S. citizens.

PBS sent a reporter to Springfield, OH to interview a variety of people intimately involved with this issue. This article includes a transcript of the reporter's interviews which is enlightening and which I'll now summarize. Sounds like Springfield lost a huge chunk of its population when manufacturing jobs left the area. Haitian immigrants, fleeing the violence in Haiti and in the US legally, have flocked to Springfield after hearing there are jobs and affordable housing there. On the positive side, employers report that they are good workers and police report that crime has not risen (some residents report being fearful but it appears their concerns may not be based on any evidence). On the negative side, the influx of English language learners has put a strain on the school system and some government services due to some needs of the Haitians that are unique and different from what local services have experienced in the past.

The article doesn't discuss the following, but it's been documented that some politicians on the right, including JD Vance and Ted Cruz, have forwarded untrue claims about the Haitians. This does nothing to solve the issues in Springfield. Instead, wouldn't it be great if they would offer reasonable solutions to Springfield's needs, such as help for the school system and local government services? Also, rather than trying to stir up fear and distrust, wouldn't it be great if Vance and Cruz would point out the positives of Haitian immigration as it relates to Springfield, such as meeting the need of employers for dedicated employees?

Nice information and a good place to start on a discussion of the two sides' position. The other side being the long term residents of a midsize American town undergoing rapid change and, some say, deterioration.

How about the original poster providing evidence that his assertion is true.

BTW: I hear Trump is an alien planted on earth to destroy the last great power, the USA, before an alien invasion takes over the planet. My second cousin's third uncle twice removed said he heard it from a guy who rented an F-150 from Bubba's Backyard Rides, and I guess somebody told him he read all about it in The National Enquirer. I believe it, except I doubt that the guy could read . . .

And I also heard MAGAs eat babies and, if they can't find babies, they eat pets. I don't know if it's true. It's just what I heard. A lot of people are saying it . . .

Funny Guy....might want to watch your favorite NBC nightly newscast to see that nearly 20,000 Haitian immigrants have settled in Springfield, Ohio in the last 3 years...THAT was the post's headline if you can read...

I appreciate this post. I don't go to the OT board often so now I can more easily know who to ignore. Keep up the good work people I can no longer see.
