A great game by the hawks. Some huge individual plays and a whole team victory. Yeah, Kirk can get pretty emotional sometimes and overall he has the best intentions for his players. After that game was over we had no idea the come from behind victory would be followed in just a few weeks by a huge defensive effort to win at Wisky which then led to the 12-0, totally unforeseen undefeated regular season which is something I thought I would probably never see.

Two huge runs by CJB from his own endzone and the perfect pass out of his own endzone to Vandeberg. Canzeri came back from a fumble to score late. And the defense just totally slammed and shutdown the clowns in the 2nd half.

Iowa looked terrific on offense in that vid. I suppose playing an uninjured bethard caliber qb changes everything.
i can't imagine cade pulling off even one play seen in that vid

Notice the pass blocking. Outstanding for the most part. Beathard had big, clean pockets.
It all starts there.
Our overall poor OL play has been the root of our offensive problems for several years now.
