2017 BB recruit Jordan Goodwin get 2nd IOWA offer ..in Football

I will link to the HawkeyeNation article by Rob Howe but will give Jordan's Twitter page link and you can check out the Iowa article. Ferentz is shown with Jordan at Iowa's recent junior day. HN article seems to imply Fran is still recruiting the #1 IL HS BB Recruit of the Class of 2017.

I 've taken a lot of crap from some Hawk fans lately and I won't respond to with any of my insider info anymore. The article does beg to ask whether Fran is planning give Jordan a scholarship if he were to commit. You decide.Jordan's size at 6'4" 220 suggest TE/WR for football but he could something like a Marcus Smart in basketball. He is like to move up the charts from #72 this summer as his shooting touch from outside is improving. Anyway, here is the link. Peace and Go Hawks.

Yes, last spring or early summer. Following March Madness period. Like May, I believe. Jordan has only played football for about two years. Reminds me of Ahmad Wagner recruitment. Seems like just out of nowhere, Ferentz liked what he saw out of JG. Jordan is from Belleville, IL (Athloff Catholic HS) and he is friends and played HS games against AJ Epenesa, Tyler Cook and other top ST.Louis area talents and AAU ball for the St.Louis Eagles 17U with Jeremiah Tilmon, Jayson Tatum and Tyler Cook. Next year's St. Louis Eagles 17U club could have 2018 recruit and Rivals Top 50 PF Carte'Are Gordon on its roster with Tilmon and Gordon.

I am just saying it is "funny" that the HN article seems to be implying that Fran is still recruiting JG when he has only 1 available ride next year and most Hawks fans think Fran is focused solely on a big man given Connor is a POINT GUARD and that is the main concern. I have said too much.

Very interesting. I have to believe Fran and KF have discussed the situation. He would count against football scholarship limits but not basketball I believe.

Goodwin won't be playing both sports. He's yet to determine if he'll play Football or Basketball at the next level but it won't be both.

Fran has a lot of poles in the water for 2017, just in case as you never know what happens in April/May with transfers.

Not saying there will be departures but it's better to have contingency plans just in case.
