Spoke with 2017 forward Christian Negron today. He already has an Iowa offer. Fran saw him this spring and got a longer look at him at the Elite 100 camp in June, when he was on the same team as Connor McCaffery. Negron will visiting Iowa on the 26th (unofficial) with his parents.
He really likes the Iowa coaching staff and their approach to recruiting. He's a skilled wing who can step out and shoot it and also has a bit of a post up game that he can go to as well. He said he really liked playing with Connor at the camp and they had some success with their team. He liked that Connor knows how to get the ball to guys in the right spot as a point guard and that will be important for him at the college level.
Negron has offers from Iowa, Illinois, DePaul, and Bradley with interest from Notre Dame, Xavier, Northwestern, Indiana, and Wisconsin. He timetable for a decision. Going to take his time and see who offers, but he's really looking forward to getting to Iowa City and seeing what the Hawkeye program is like in-person.
