2019 Iowa Hawkeyes Expectations

First of please relax yes I know there’s a lot of this season still to be played but I think we have preseason top 10 talent in 2019 if everyone comes back.

Losses on the defensive line will hurt.

Who graduates? Who is leaving early?

Ross is not graduating, HOCK is not leaving. At this point my expectations are about the same as they are for this year. 10 wins maybe 11. Hard to predict aome of the intangibles despite the returning players and development expected.

Will Kirk still be head coach?

If so, then we will have 3 losses minimum in 2019. Too early to overachieve. Kirk is still riding off the 2015 season. When the heat intensifies, he will pull out a good season in 2020 - 2021, just in time to retire and hand over the reins to Brian. A 9-2 season with a top 10 finish will give Kirk a lot of goodwill and power to lobby for his son and we will eat it up because we’ll think “new Kirk” re-emerged and will be here forever. Same movie we’ve watched since he started here.
