Game to feature second-largest crowd Lucas Oil Stadium has ever had for a football game

ROSEMONT, Ill. –
The Big Ten Conference today announced it has sold out of all tickets, suites, and VIP packages for the 2021 Big Ten Football Championship Game presented by Discover at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Michigan vs. Iowa game will eclipse the 2015 Big Ten Championship Game record of 66,985 attendees.

Additionally, the Big Ten Conference is debuting the first-ever Student-Athlete Family Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 4. The inaugural event will recognize family members for their role in helping the young men participating in the 11th Big Ten Football Championship Game to achieve their goals and compete for the Big Ten title. The event will feature food, beverages, and entertainment.

“The 2021 Big Ten Football Championship Game is the culmination of an exceptional season of Big Ten football for all of our 14 member institutions and is a testament to the hard work, tenacity, and dedication of everyone associated with the University of Iowa and the University of Michigan,” said Big Ten Conference Commissioner Kevin Warren. “We are committed to delivering an extraordinary experience for our student-athletes who will take the field tomorrow, as well as their families, and our fans.”

“We are elated to have two extraordinary teams and the vibrant colors, music, energy, and passion of Big Ten football fans here in Indianapolis for the 2021 Big Ten Football Championship Game,” said Lucas Oil Stadium Director Eric Neuburger. “This event will be the second-largest crowd that Lucas Oil Stadium has ever had for a football game, just behind Super Bowl XLVI.”
