Well, my biased thought is that EVERY player that doesn't give Iowa a serious look is dense. But that's just me.
Pitino won't stay at Iona for long, his words are hollow, the magnetic pull from some major college program and the money that goes along with it, will be too strong to ignore.
I predict that he'll be involved in at least one more scandal. He has not been repentant, and you can't teach an old dog like him new tricks.
Why should he be repentant? His reputation was already crap. Rick is a well off coach. So he basically lost some money that's about it.
Buying hookers for recruits is not standard recruiting practice. He is scum.
Not disputing that. I'm just saying u can't expect Pitino to be repentant. When he doesn't have to worry about consequences. Big name coaches don't face consequences.
I mean, he is coaching at Iona now that could be considered a consequence...
And he got another job within a year. And is still loaded and a faced no criminal consequences.
Can we forget Pitino and get back to the player iowa has no chance of getting?
I think any program that has continued success is likely breaking rules. Mostly players getting money from boosters.
