Random thoughts:
-Iowa started 3 true freshmen again this week in Connor Colby, Keagan Johnson, and Arland Bruce, same as last week. That was start #9 for Colby, start #8 for Johnson, and start #2 for Bruce. Iowa has started 3 true freshmen before under KF - most recently Goodson, LaPorta, and Belton in the 2019 Holiday Bowl, but not 3 on offense at the same time anywhere I could find in the last 20+ years.
-Michael Myslinski was back on the travel team and has been working second team in warmups the last two weeks.
-Karson Sharar back on kickoff coverage and game #3 for him.
-As expected, it was game #5 for Cooper DeJean so the redshirt is officially off. I moved DeJean up to a sophomore for next year our scholarship distribution chart.
