How can we add 5 players as some were hoping above? We only have 2 openings for sure and maybe 3 if Kris leaves. Ideas?

Not sure where you are getting your numbers. If Kris leaves, that would mean the returning scholarship players for 2023-24 would be:

Ulis
Bowen
Perkins
Dix
Sandfort
McCaffery
Mulvey
Ogundele

There are 13 total scholarships available. So with 8 players on scholarship, that leaves 5 open.

What about Harding and Freeman?

Since the poster mentioned Kris leaving, I assumed the reference was to the 2023 class. Harding and Freeman have of course claimed 2 of the possible 5 open scholarships for the 2023 class.

The number of available scholarships in the 2024 class is a little trickier to calculate because it’s unknown if the staff will use all of the available scholarships in the 2023 class, if any players will transfer, if some players will use their Covid bonus year, etc.

There could potentially be 4 available scholarships in the 2024 class, replacing Ulis, Perkins, Patrick and Ogundele.

I guess I had trouble with all the walk-ons. I wasn't sure Luc had botten a scholly or not for 1 year. Maybe I was including Harding and Freeman???? I don't know!

As noted above, in 2024-2025, Josh Ogundele, Tony Perkins, Ahron Ulis, Kris Murray (if he's still around), and Patrick McCaffery could take advantage of the free, additional covid year (they would count against the 13 scholarship limit).

For now, when not including them, this is where things stand for the...
