I understand that this is probably a shot in the dark, but if theres anyone who has the donation level to get tickets but doesnt intend on going to Philly, I would be glad to buy two all session tickets for my wife and I. We have been to 19 of the last 24 tournaments and I made the mistake of not getting refundable plane tickets.
The situation has been heading a certain direction for awhile now.. The bottom line, in my opinion, is that the tournament has increased in popularity to the point that a regular fan is lucky to get a ticket at face value... Tickets used to be $75 all session and there were plenty to go around. The hows and why's of that can be discussed on another post, but the fact remains that the tournament has outgrown the current stadium size and because of the current size and structure of the venues, the only place to go at this point is a baseball or football stadium.. What the NCAA Wrestling tournament needs is a 50k to 60k arena and I dont think theres currently anything right now that fits. Add to all this the corporate worlds ability to buy out the entire lower level, there just arent enough seats to go around. While I am dubious to the idea, lets see what happens when in goes to Viking Stadium. At least then, everyone who wants to be there live will be able to attend.

I feel ya tim. I had been to 31 in a row and 35 of 36 when it went to Pittsburgh and I got shut out on tickets. I got offered a week before, but with no motel reservations made I passed on them. I already had my four TV system figured out and I watched that way. Then Covid shut me down in Minny, and I've only been to two since. When I started going All-Session lower bowl seats were $65 (or maybe even $45, my memory is bad these days).
I'd like to hook you up, but I'm right on the edge of points. I got offered last year, but only about a week before. I also can't PM on here because I have a free account. I'm sure someone with more points can help you out. I'm not going this year because I can't afford it, so I would have to have some kind of guarantee you'd take the tickets, because I couldn't afford to get stuck with $800 or $900 worth of tickets. I hope someone can help you. Good luck.

I have to disagree on why tickets are now so hard to get . It isn't because of increased popularity. It's due to schools getting smaller allotments because corporate sponsors are getting more. The last 3 or so years there have been tons of empty seats the first few rounds. Almost whole sections have been pretty much empty.

That’s sad. Even in a niche sport such as wrestling hardcore fans are being slighted in favor of the ole might dollar.

I agree on the empty seats.. I have never gone to a tournament with out having tickets already but it seems like an option according to some people.

I went to 30 in a row, starting with Iowa City when McIlravy went down. I even made it to the year with limited seating when we won the last natty.

But I'm done now. Too expensive. Plus, I have no desire to go in person to watch PSU break their own point total record, nor Starocci get his fifth in Pennsylvania.

I'll now watch it in my theater room. End of an era.

It's an option but the scalping can be really hit and miss it's way worse than it used to be also. Detroit and Cleveland essentially no scalping. I didn't pay as much attention in Pittsburgh because how they handled things there was all around bad.

I dont think you would have a problem getting two all session tickets or two tickets for each session if you are willing to wait it out or just show up and buy your tickets to the day off.

I have 8 all session tickets ($400 per) and a group of 7 going. So we are either going to end up taking a friend along or dumping the extra ticket. Lots of people will be in this situation.

Online all session tickets have "dropped" to about $1000 each the last i checked. They will keep dropping. The year detroit held them, i bought four all session tickets together in the nose bleed section for $98 a piece the past the two years, i never saw all session tickets drop below $400.
