I don't follow high school sports because my kids are too young/by the time they get to HS Waukee will likely be on its 4th HS, but I should bring them out for a game this winter and see what Colin is capable of.
If he was, I’ll say not any longer. 😊Is Jaidyn an Iowa State lean?
Fan of Mac?If he was, I’ll say not any longer. 😊
Yes. He visited Jaidyn today. Ben’s mom, Mary, still lives in Storm Lake as well.
Good to see Ben out recruiting in-state kids. With the mass exodus from the previous roster it will be interesting to see the mix of portal to high school players as he builds for the future. He has a younger staff that should relate well to high school kids.

I'll be the first one to admit that I don't know squat but I highly doubt you and your kids can give him much of a challenge.I don't follow high school sports because my kids are too young/by the time they get to HS Waukee will likely be on its 4th HS, but I should bring them out for a game this winter and see what Colin is capable of.
At 6'7" he's for sure going to trip over my son who constantly walks directly in your path but with the stealth of a ninja. I'm accustomed to it but a high schooler has no chance.I'll be the first one to admit that I don't know squat but I highly doubt you and your kids can give him much of a challenge.
The C from Iowa United is pretty good. I think he has some big offers right now though. Afaran Diane is his name. Are there any other top high school kids in Iowa to consider?

Didn't realize he was ranked so high. I don't like our chance but we can hope.

agreed; the future looks brightLook like two really good possible additions.
I follow a lot of high school ball in Iowa, and Coon is a good one. Another kid to keep your eye on is 6-11 junior Cael LaFrentz from Decorah, whose father, Raef LaFrentz, was a starter/star at Kansas and played in the NBA. And Shabazz, who as a sophomore led Davenport Assumption to the 3A championship, is a very smooth guard and one of the top defensive players in the state. I've seen them all play in person.
I have no idea if Cael is good enough for the B1G, but it would be nice to get him, if for no other reason but to exorcise the demon of having lost his father to Kansas all those years ago.Interesting that, as of now, Rivals shows Cael with no offers, with Iowa & Nebraska showing interest.
I forget the stories. Was he going to Kansas no matter what?I have no idea if Cael is good enough for the B1G, but it would be nice to get him, if for no other reason but to exorcise the demon of having lost his father to Kansas all those years ago.
