I am very happy for this kid and glad that Iowa offered. He may become a very good player for the Hawkeyes, but I believe he will be a very hard worker at a minimum. He has said that he was not going to be able to go to college without a scholarship and is very appreciative of the opportunity that Iowa has given him. He is also a lifelong Hawkeye fan and is getting a chance to live his dream. Sounds like a great combination to me.
Awesome video. You can tell he’s not just a good player, but a great kid. I am confident he’s gonna be another one of those guys that will have broadcasters during Iowa games asking how that kid didn’t have more offers.
@Blair Sanderson do you know what the deal is with Diane Hanson not yet committed? Is he not going to play CFB?
I'm not sure. Last I heard, it was probably Grand Valley State, but I don't think he signed so maybe hoping something else pops up, especially if he's playing this spring.
Schools were backing off over qualifying concerns. Probably needed JC first.
I root for all Hawkeyes all the time, but I may root for this young man (Hilson) a little more as an underdog.

I like him. Hope we pursue him and convince him to flip here. He and Hilson could become a salty RB duo in the future.
He reminds me of Wirfs except on the other side of the ball.
Kid would be a 5 star in Chicago or Dallas.
AGREED ...and how is he ranked #14 in the state on Rivals?
No offense to Nub's top '21 OL recruit, but I'd definitely swap #6 and #14 on that list.
