these are the preseason betting lines that my online book (5dimes) is offering for Iowa games this year.

Underdog to Michigan sort of surprises me, maybe also slight favorite at PSU.

I don't think they will cover the Miami and ISU lines, however I think they will cover the point spread on the rest of the matchups. JMO

What's the line on NDS ?

They don't have one yet and probably won't until the week of the game. Even then, a lot of books won't post a line for a FCS game. I think if it is relatively high profile as this one will be, my book will have one. I'm guessing Iowa -10.5 if I can simply speculate?

I don;t have an account at 5Dimes any longer, but if I did I'd hit that Iowa -15.5 vs Iowa State hard.
ISU lost their own returning O lineman to a season ending knee injury and will most likely replace him with a true freshman.
Its gonna be a blood bath this year in this game. ISU may not score, so even when Iowa is up 24-0 late in the 4th its enough to cover this number.

I agree, BUT, I have seen this game way too many times when Iowa was supposed to destroy ISU and has either barely won or taken a loss.

As for this specific game, Iowa should win both sides of the LOS which is usually where any game is won or lost. Iowa should have the better defense by a good margin. If you want to be conservative, call the offenses equal given ISU has some good skill players. Special teams, well, we just don't know yet about the Hawkeyes.

It very well may be a victory by 16+ points, and I sure hope so as I want guys rested for NDSU. But I know better than to count on it is all I'm saying. If there is one game they have circled in Ames, we know it isn't Kansas State, LOL.

My honest prediction - Iowa grinds out an ugly first half for a 16-10 lead. Then once again four quarters proves to be one too many for ISU and the Hawks pull away for a 33-17 win.
