According to Lindy's Big Ten Football Magazine 2016:

1. J.T. Barrett of Ohio State (Junior)
2. C.J. Beathard of Iowa (Senior)
3. Tommy Armstrong of Nebraska (Senior)

Beathard threw only 5 interceptions last season and
is the conference's returning leader in passer rating.
C.J. is a clutch performer which really helps in close
scoring games. I hope that Beathard can avoid injury
and have a great season for the Hawkeyes.

Leidner over Armstrong. Leidner's is not as athletic as Armstrong but he has a better, more accurate, arm and is a much better decision maker. The only question for Leidner is whether he ends up in the hospital because Minnesota has more than a couple issues on the OL heading into this season.

Armstrong transfer?

I have changed my original post.....It should be
Tommy Armstrong of Nebraska. Mitch Leidner of
Minnesota is ranked 5th behind Wes Lunt of Illinois
at 4th. My apology for the misinformation.

1) JT Barrett.
1a) CJ Beathard
3) Mitch Leidner
4) Wes Lunt
5) Tommy Armstrong

Think I'll wait till they play the season and see how things shake out. A lot can happen between now and the end of November.

There is no question that entering the season the
two best are Barrett and Beathard. Barrett is the
better runner and this gives him the edge.
