Amazing, utterly amazing. Fran is the COY IMO in the BIG this year as well. Minnesota was supposed to be vastly improved. Iowa was supposed to be .500. This team is so fun to watch and the growth on defense has been astounding. FT shooting is vastly improved from November as well. They shoot FTs then like they are now we have a few more wins as well. We have 3 solid pieces joining the 80% Freshmen/Sophmore CORE that will be here next year. This is going to be such a fun and amazing ride and CHA tickets will start getting hard to come by going forward as well. Well done coaches and players, this Hawkeye fan is proud and off the charts stoked for the remainder of this season and the seasons ahead, GO Hawks!

I believe it is 344 out of 351 teams.
Cool. My google search might have turned up outdated info. Are you getting this from KenPom (I'm not a subscriber? I'm curious the teams that are less experienced than Iowa.

Artile from TOS, I also saw this chart earlier in the year and I think it was Ken Pom yes. I haven't viewed the chart in awhile but article from the TOS today references 344 out of 351 least experienced team.

Has Fran won COY? If not he should have since Iowa has done better than their projections ever year for the last 5.

I just know we were the 7th youngest team I believe their are 351 teams. The other 6 had horrible records when I saw it 3-4 weeks ago.

I'd bet Collins will running even though his team needed a "hail Mary" pass to beat MI and avoid an end of the year collapse that most likely would have ended NCAA hopes.

I think they would have still been in even with that game a loss unless they lost their first game in BTT. Then they would be 50/50 on getting in.

But I expected Northwestern to be good this year they won pretty much exactly the amount of games I expected. But since it's their first time ever in the tourney yes it will either be him or pitino. My vote is for Collins, he's more likeable.

So a 9-9 ninth place finish in B1G in a year where they have a favorable schedule only playing 1 team in the top 8 twice. (Purdue which the were swept) The other they played twice were, Rutgers, Nebraska, Indiana, and Illinois. Couple decent wins in OOC but nothing spectacular, beat Dayton and Wake Forest. Had they not won MI game their only win would have been a squeaker with Rutgers in their final 6. BTT has yet to be played but I think Iowa's resume would have been MUCH better.

You might be right, I haven't truly looked at their resume since they are firmly in. I've just been looking at the resumes of 10 seeds and above resumes. And teams that are bubble teams.

They had the win @ Wisconsin and they have 5 top 100 road wins. That is fairly impressive.

The win at WI was nice but had they not pulled out the MI their only win in last 6 conf. games would have been a 4 point home win against Rutgers. They lost the 2 games before WI so imagine this IF they were to lose 1st game in BTT. 2 victories in all of February and March (1 being Rutgers)

Then they would have been like us that first year we got back in the tourney in the play-in game.

They would have probably still made it but it doesn't matter now. They are a virtual lock now.

Maybe your right but my point is, would the committee select this resume over Iowa? Michigan State? Michigan? They avoided any "bad" losses in OOC and had a nice 6 win streak early in conf. but that win streak was Nebraska (2), Iowa, Rutgers, Ohio State, Indiana (best win 7th place Iowa on home court). I know Lindsey out hurt them but they flat out stunk after the win streak.I just didn't understand how so many felt they were in before the MI Hail Mary.
