NPR has had a lot of coverage the last two days about Saigon as we mark the 40th anniversary of it's fall. I did not know that one of the two Marines killed was from Iowa. This article is from CNN. Good back story and it had the best pictures of the two young men who died.

The 2 hour American Experience episode appears to be on at 11pm tonight. I thought it fascinating. Like re-living that era when I was a kid all over again.

Is that on PBS? They did a documentary about the fall of Saigon the other night. One interesting factoid they mentioned was that Hanoi and NVN were deathly afraid of Richard Nixon and what he would do after the Paris Peace Accord was signed. Once Nixon resigned, they steamrolled the south.
