wow, Kansas loses by 20 to an unranked team, and doesn't move.
Yeah that's a joke as is Maryland at 7 with 0 top 50 RPI wins.
ESPN still has them as a #1 seed over Iowa in the Midwest.
Still have to beat them and we're in front of them now.
Agree about Kansas loss, but their other two losses are to #9 and #11 and they started with higher respect so it takes longer to change the perception. Our losses are to #16 and two unranked teams. Very close and only 3 points different. To jump 5 points within the top 10 and one of your wins was less than fancy effort against a very bad team, I will take that move every day.
If Iowa would happen to lose to Maryland, theyll probably fall about 6 spots. KU gets pounded by an unranked team, doesnt move. LOL

The rankings don't matter, except that they do simply because they exist, so yah, Kansas being drubbed by 20 by an unranked team and staying put makes sense. LOL
I take it as a win/win tonight. KU goes down good for polls, ISU goes down, Yay!So we have to hold our nose and cheer for ISU this week!I don't like it but I guess we do what we gotta do!

So does that mean what happened in November means nothing compared to what happened this week puts Iowa at Number 3 instead of number 4...or maybe number 2? Just using the biased coaches logic in voting!!
One dude voted us 14th. If he put us in the top 10 like everyone else, we would have been 3rd.

Guys in Albuquerque and Louisville, to name two, each have Iowa No. 3 in AP. Anybody voting Iowa #14 is too stupid to have a vote. Which, again, shows that there's no sense in getting too concerned about the polls.
Purdue loses to a top 10 Iowa and moves up. LOL
I look less and less at the coaches poll every year. Half the guys have some random person do it for them, they don't watch all of the games, and they're biased.
AP is the vastly superior poll. I'm curious to see where they rank us. Cannot understand KU above us in rankings or brackets right now. We're higher in Sagarin, our Sagarin SOS is higher, all 3 of our losses were close and to top 50 teams (KU got blown out by #70 just THIS week)
Also, forget about the losses, we have WAY more Top 25 wins. In Sagarin we have 6 Top 25 wins, only one other team has more than 3 (OU with 4), only five - including KU have 3. Our 7 wins against Top 50 is also tops.
